Schools are encouraged to sign up for a free Energy Display Meter as senior figures discuss the importance of sustainability in Westminster.

MPs and representatives from leading companies and organisations attending the Westminster Sustainable Business Forum in London heard more about how the free Energy Display Meter (EDM) will help encourage more sustainable behaviour in schools across England.

The EDM initiative was a hot topic on the agenda with senior representatives from the organisations responsible for managing and delivering the project speaking at the event. Jeff Whittingham, Director of Energy Services at British Gas and Tim Byles, Chief Executive of Partnerships for Schools, addressed politicians and business leaders on the importance of educating young people on the subject of sustainability and the simple steps they can take to reduce energy consumption in their schools and at home.

The FAQs section of the EDM website (www.energydisplaymeter.co.uk/faqs) provides tips on completing the application process, and the helpdesk (www.energydisplaymeter.co.uk/ContactUs) can be contacted with any further questions.
